As a fellow viatnam traveler in Saigon I was sorry to see a homeless family with a little girl, staying on the steps of a building across the intersection from Ben thanh market, they did not ask, but I helped them out with some money, I am not asking or telling fellow tourist to do the same, but the family would sure appreciate some left over change, which Iam sure would help them and others like them with little kids begging in the area. Please no negative comments. Thank you and God bless

You have a beautiful ❤️ heart
We were in Bali recently and seen this there a mother sat with her baby literally all day
Lots of blessings to you and the family involved. This world needs kindest especially at this time. My partner us Vietnamese, I know some struggle to get by.
My husband and I have given money to homeless people even though they didn’t ask. I don’t give to the
This is also what happens in India
I don’t understand why so many negative comments in here. Why so many people assumed the man used children to begged for money why don’t you think the man might be very sick and couldn’t work.
That’s kind of you. We complain about our cost of living but I honestly don’t know how young Vietnamese families survive unless they have parents/grandparents to live with. Real estate price is ridiculous for what the average income is. The fact that they are not actively begging shows that they’re not using their kids to get money. It’s normal for working people to sleep on the streets at night, on the cyclo they peddle or next to their food stall. I really don’t care for advice to give food only. Sometimes, that kid going to school needs to buy uniforms and school supplies too. Imagine at the poorest point in your life and someone gives you 100 dollars. It’s not going to change your life, but that 100 is going to be the best thing that happened that day, that week, that year. How happy you made that family and took them out of their crappy situation at least for a little bit.
I saw no homeless people in Vietnam in two weeks. I was shocked. There are so many more in California and Hawaii than on the streets in Danang or Hanoi. That was kind of you to offer them your change. Nobody asked us for any money our entire time visiting nor for tips.
