It’s up to you if you want to save before you go. Vietnam is cheap, so maybe you can save here too, whilst you stay safe in the country.
To answer your question yes its very safe, why are people so rude on this page, yes they have a typo, but just answer the question, you may have come before and understand the culture, but for others it may be their first time and a genuine question.
