Just remember the law has changed over here now you can exchange money at jewellery Shops any more just use the atm better.
We changed a small amount at airport then found a money changer and yes the notes have to be clean no folds or tears
Use card for most transactions, can withdraw cash at atm. We took smalll us notes which was handy for cabs & a few other places.

We always bring crisp clean $100 notes, due to the govt closing a lot of the gold shops we have got a WISE card as a back up
Some stores in Mall’s now allow Apple Pay 😃
I’m an Aussie and was there in September last year. I had cash only. Used hotel and banks for exchange. Took $20 $50 and $100 notes with good exchange rates. The slight differences is a few dong which might be a cup of coffee difference. No biggie
