I’ve always been fairly comfortable leaving my passport in the hotel room safe – make sure the safe is affixed and the hotel has a solid reputation. 5 trips to Vietnam – never had a problem.

Hi! Please keep all personal belongings with you at all times, especially money, credit cards, and valuable items. Always keep your passport in your pocket.

I leave my money inside my luggage, closed with a safe lock and I keep my passport with me at all times.

Small bag with RFID protection, has 2 strong belt loops (wear inside your pants. Fits passport, cash and has an internal card pockets. I carry passport copies, leaving passport in the hotel. Same company has a silk discreet bum bag to wear under the clothes and not looking like grandpa on holiday. I wear out small foldable backpack for my water and stuff I may potentially buy. That gives me always free 2 hands with out the bother of a cross body bag.

I leave in safe in hotel room with a do not disturb card on the door. I also have a cut proof personal type safe that can be attached to non removable plumbing in the hotel room. If I need the room made up I call front desk to have it done when I am in room.
