Never eat at this place in Vietnam, my friends.

Never eat at this place in Vietnam, my friends.I was staying at a hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter and went with my girl to have lunch at a restaurant near the hotel. We had fried chicken and pho. The total was 390,000 VND.In the evening, my girl didn’t want to go out, so I went to the same restaurant alone to get takeout. Knowing she liked fried chicken, I ordered that. While waiting, I saw something disturbing. When other customers left, there was a lot of leftover meat on their plates. The waiter staff collected it, and what looked like an assistant grandmother sorted through the meat pieces with chopsticks, putting them into a separate bucket. They then set that bucket aside. They noticed I was watching and became visibly nervous. I was already suspecting they were reusing leftovers .when my fried chicken order arrived, costing 250,000 VND.This was suspicious because my lunch which included two bowls of pho and other food, was only 390,000 VND, yet now just one portion of fried chicken cost 250,000 VND. I didn’t say anything and went back to the hotel.Back at the hotel, my suspicion led me to check the fried chicken. Sure enough, I found pieces that clearly looked like they had been previously eaten from and then re-fried.From that day on, my trip was ruined. Every mealtime was filled with doubt and fear, and I couldn’t enjoy eating anything.Be careful, my friends.Ps:sorry for my English.

sorry for your experience. I was always nervous of eating, so stuck to veggies all my trip. However, i ordered a plate of mango whilst waiting for the train and that night, my tummy gave me tons of problem…. I wondered why s it was just fruit. I had not eaten bfast. However, had no other issues in HCMC, Phu Quoc, Da Nang. Well I suppose we get the kinda stuff we dont enjoy, in every country right, that why travelling makes us humble cos we spend so much money getting to see the beauty of the world yet some behaviours just ruins it. Dont let it tamper the memory you probably made here

Sure I was in some restaurant eating Pho and noticed the same guy who brought the food to my table sat down and start picking at his bare feet then went straight to deliver more food to another table without even washing his hands, I left the food there & walked out was absolutely disgusted and felt like vomiting 🤮

Number one only go to places that are busy. Number two use apps like a Tripadvisor or Google check the ratings.

How can you tell from the food you were given? I can’t tell from the picture of the food you took….just saying theres a huge lack of evidence, while you post a picture of the restaurant and broadcasted their name to the whole world. Honestly, this just sounds like slander….

As a Vietnamese local this is what I always do to protect myself from hurting my wallet, stomach and emotional wellbeing: 1: always go to a place where you can see price and menu, if not, clarify the price and menu from the restaurant before I walk in, 2: check google review before I decide to eat somewhere, 3: beware of restaurants that looks filthy and empty from the outside.

They always use left over food , trick to know is with take out check before you take , cut it open etc then you are on the premises to complain
