I like both, different experiences. If you want to blend with locals and feel the real Vietnam, stay at 2). If you want a soft landing and some confort zone, stay at 1). I stayed 1 week at My Khe Beach, then jumped donne Old Da Nang. Never looked back. My vietnamese spoken is improving slowly but surely.
My Khe beach is the best spot
Beach has a very western vibe, but you have a beach holiday. City centre is local oriented and more to see. If you stay beachfront at My Khe be mindful that it can get very noisy on the weekend at night
We stayed at Holiday Beach Hotel Danang last week and we loved it. Behind the hotel, so many little cute streets for restaurants and bar and the hotel is located right in front of the ocean. We had a sea view room.**update, please ask a room on the opposite side of the construction site. So many new building are being constructed in Da Nang, just be aware.
it is cheap to get around ….you must be going 5 star resort.
We stayed at the lavender motel in Da nang. It’s right on the riverfront and we got a 14th or 15th floor room that had a view of the dragon bridge.
How many nights stay and how many people are those prices for?
We live about 3 blocks east of the Cau Rong Dragon Bridge. It’s the best of both worlds. In just 15 to 20 minutes we can walk to either the beach or downtown.
Depends. I stayed at both. My Khe is definitely much more chilled and more touristy vibes. Lots of cool cafes etc . The other side is also nice but a bit more intense but for sure more local vibes – which is also nice depending on what you’re looking for. We ended up staying near My Khe for longer
🤔Beach is nice and Grab to reach the city is cheap.
