   Also don’t overlook Hoi an! The town has incredible food and there’s some very good hand crafted shopping if that is of any interest. Also the beach there is very laid back and bohemian.

   Completely depends on what you are looking for. If you want a piece of the west in Vietnam, go to the beach. If you want the real Vietnam, go to the city center.

   We were unsure too but decided to stay in My Khe (got a good deal at a lovely hotel) and it’s v inexpensive to either hire scooter or jump in a grab to see the other side of the river – we can walk to dragon bridge in approx 35 minutes

   Staying in centre atm. Down at the beach now. Deffo prefer the beach but as we are born and bred by the sea it always draws us.
