How do you break large bills? One ATM only gave me 500,000 bills.

How do you break large bills? One ATM only gave me 500,000 bills. I did go inside the bank and they exchanged one bill for smaller ones but it was a long wait. I would just feel weird trying to pay for a drink or something small with such a large bill.

Every place you buy from in tourist areas will have change. Do not worry about this!

I found that early in the day, they have less money to break large bills. After the business has made a lil money in the morning, they don’t have a problem. I sometimes get the side eye when I wanna break a 500k while buying something for 10k.

It’s 500k, not the Hope Diamond! Have had one single instance in many years where someone could not change a 500k note in a small village when all the neighbouring shops were closed. Most vendors actually carry a ridiculous amount of cash, many may actually prefer 500k notes. Ask one politely if they will change some more for you or just go to a bank at opening time.

500k isn’t as large as Bill as you might think. You’ll have no problem paying with them
