Hi just arrived in Hanoi tried to withdraw money out of vbank, was asking for pin, but the digits were for a 6 pin… put 00 first then pin but was rejected saying Wrong pin… tried twice but then gave up….

   Even if your card is a debt card you need to select Credit Card. Then you can use your 4 digit pin.

   I use 4 digits and use debit card in the selection field. Never had any issues. Good luck 🍀

   We tried at least 15 ATMs in Hanoi. Not sure if they were out of money or if our 4 digit pin was the issue. We finally found one that worked the day after we arrived.

   In Malaysia I just went and found a different ATM as I could not make it work but they are not all like that- Maybank in Malaysia is good
