No flies and no mosquitoes. Did not see any on my trip last yr 😄
I’m prone to mosquito bites…… I did not experience anything last year or the year before that during this time late January to end of February…… I was also in Phong Nha national Forest is doing the same time of the year, nothing happened

Use mosquito spray, buy Remos here, just around 1-3 usd.
Depends on time of year and how much standing water is around. Get citronella ankle bracelets, mozzies like to hang out under the table, cheap silk long sleeved shirt (2nd hand store), and actual mosquito repellent.
Here at the moment and have seen mosquitos everywhere except Hanoi. Lost my repellant so I just got some delivered from a pharmacy.
We just got home from 5 weeks in the south and barely any mosquitos. Andi am a magnet. Still would go prepared. Just bring repellent.
Currently living in Hoi An area, a few mosquitoes and midgies in some areas at certain times of the day. You can buy repellent in convenience store and pharmacies. Remos works well without the heavy duty toxins.
Ive been there 6 times and Ive honestly never seen a mosquito. Ive been in cities and in the jungles…bugs have never been an issue.
