For Western Catholics, seeing inculturated and vibrant Vietnamese Catholicism especially around Easter Week is an uplifting experience. You will have no problem locating Easter eggs and gifts. If going to Mass, go early if you want a seat.
Paint a balut egg * hột vịt lộn * and give it to him
Chocolate sold in tropical / warmer areas has a different recipe than chocolate in other spots. Eggs from home might melt.
I have often taken Easter eggs , you can buy them in a plastic egg carton which helps for transporting them from home . I have never seen them to buy in Vietnam. If you are in HoiAn, Dingo Deli, Hoi An, Vietnam bake the best Hot Cross buns .👍
I’ve taken chocolates to Vietnam in checked and carry on with no problems.
You could boil some real eggs and then your child and you could paint them then find a hill and roll them down the hill then have a picnic and tell them the story of why easter Sunday is important to Christians. If you have any problems about the story let me know ,you will have a great holyday in Vietnam
