Hi All, I’m taking my parents (~75 yrs old) to Vietnam for their first time.

Hi All, I’m taking my parents (~75 yrs old) to Vietnam for their first time. I’ve been to Ho Chi Minh and Da Lat in the past and absolutely love vietnam. It’ll be a fairly short trip, HCM (2 nights) and focus on Hanoi (4 nights) and the area around there?Currently the plan is to do day trips from Hanoi to Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay, but what are peoples thoughts? Is it tiring? I could get away with switching one of the Hanoi nights.I don’t think they’d be able to climb up the stairs of Mua Cave in Ninh Binh and I wasn’t sure what it’s like around that area to stay a night. Happy to get thoughts! Thank you

My 72 year old mom and I just got back from Vietnam on Saturday. We started in HCMC but our last leg of our trip was Hanoi, Halong Bay/La Ha Bay and Ninh Binh. I booked a yacht for Halong Bay which my mom loved. It’s a whole day but they pick you up on a bus with about 30 other people around 7:30 am, make a bathroom/food break halfway. You get to the boat about 10 am, it’s a boat that fits 250 people but it was only the 30 of us on the boat, they provide a lunch buffet and alcohol at an extra cost. They stop for a boat ride with locals and go through a cave and also stop for kayaking and swimming. You’re off the boat by 5 and back in Hanoi by 7:30 ish (also have a bathroom break halfway)
