Everyone says not to pack much clothing and just buy it in Vietnam. Just curious do they cater for larger sizes, eg Aus 16?

You can do laundry. They’ll pick up at your hotel and deliver the same day or next day.
Asian size is small. You should bring your clothes
Size 16 would be like a 3xl in Vietnam…. they will sell up to 5xl in some places, but most only go to 3xl.
It depends where you shop. I’m a Aus 12 – 14 and fit into size M at Muji department store. Their sizes go up to at least XL.
I’m sceptical. Firstly, you waste holiday time going shopping. Then if you are travelling around, you will buy them in the first place you visit and still have to carry them round. Also, I already have enough clothes so it’s a bit of a waste to buy more, even if cheap
I wasn’t able to find anything unless I had it made. This was the case in hoi an, Ho Chi Minh, hue, and Danang. On holidays they don’t make clothes so be mindful of that. My bra broke and I had to go braless for 2 weeks 😂 like the size might be right but the Vietnamese cut is for small shoulders and chests.
No , they will tell you no big one no big one ! It’s a mission but not impossible
I just took what I needed. I did buy a few bits but to take home! This jacket is a 3XL 🥲
I’m a size 12. I wanted a long north face coat. Got to a xxl and gave up🤣
Personally I don’t pack much clothing. I pack coordinates and dresses that won’t show dirt and bring scarves or shawls to cover my shoulders if needed. I’m never going to see anyone again and as long as i’m clean, comfortable and presentable without being pretentious, I’m good. I bring lightweight clothes and detergent sheets that I use to wash in my sink and they dry quickly. My husband used local laundry service which is cheaper than hotel. We did 3 weeks with carryon only.
