Hi all,
Arriving in Saigon a week Tuesday from Cambodia at 7:30pm. I know it’s busy season so just wondering what the arrival traffic has been like. If Fast Track is worth it. We will still have to wait for our luggage and planning on getting our ESIMs set up with Viettel. Don’t want to be at the airport for hours since we’re arriving in the evening.
Thanks

I arrived yesterday at 13.30 and it was the quietest I’ve ever seen Saigon airport and I’ve been through it countless times.
It must have taken about three minutes to go through passport control – had I booked for ‘speedy entrance’ it would have taken longer finding the fella with his board.
And when I headed straight out (hand luggage only) the number 152 bus was sitting there about to leave – another 5k dong I’ll never see again!
Now sitting in the shade enjoying a few cold Saigon Greens.
Stephen.
#11, who do you use and how much is it, please?
I paid for fast track and got scammed.
I always book “fast lane ” and within 15 minutes we cross customs. We come to Saigon already 18 years at Saigon airport.
#9, someone deletes all her posts after a while.
So many messages deleted… weird.
‘Simon was clear in 1.5hrs’ yes so imagine how long he could have waited if he had been at the back of his plane.
The vendor you have chosen will meet you and anyone else they are meeting off your flight. All vendors use the same meeting point. But thet use different lanes for fast track, some use the diplomatic, some the crew, some the wheelchair lane (!) So in my experience the queue to get through has never been longer than 2 or 3 people.

Hello
It is impossible to know how long the queue will be as it depends on how many landings and how many immigration people working.
But… imo fast track is always worth it. It has never taken me longer than 10mins to get through using fast track which beats up to 2hrs in a queue any day.
Yes, you come out before your luggage but a wait for luggage in SGN is not the issue. Luggage comes out pretty quickly so the wait is not usually that long if there is any wait for it.
Alternatively do as Simon did, sit near the front and walk very fast when you get off the plane….. 😆
I arrived at 14.00 yesterday.
Fortunately fairly near the front of a full Emirates B777.
At Immigration area there are 2 queues that are fed into a long zig zag line. In that first queue for 32 minutes.
At end you get into an open area where individual lines are formed for each Immigration booth. You choose which line. All same length, but some more dense, hard to see when joining. I waited in that line for about 40 minutes. Some lines were a little quicker.
Baggage had been removed from belt. I picked mine up and was clear in 1 hour 15 from joining Immigration queue.
It’s no fun. Tightly packed lines and not much a/c. All booths manned by 1 Officer. However each booth could have 2 Officers, one either side. This means throughput could be doubled with no infrastructure change if they used more staff.
I dread to think how long the last passengers off my plane waited. Not sure I’m going to be rushing back to Saigon airport.
I’ve no idea about other times of day. You can check to see how many arrivals around your landing time.
