Airports can rip you off for just about everything, not just SIM cards!
eSIMs are not hard to setup. I found them easy for an iPhone but a little more effort for android but once setup, works well in all countries we’ve used them in. With data only, we just use WhatsApp for voice calling.
Airports would never charge more…lol
