Hey everyone, I'm planning my first trip to Vietnam in November. I want to do more than just see the sights; I really want to understand the culture. Any tips on how to do that? Maybe some local workshops, community events, or even just some good books to read before I go? Thanks a lot!
Looking to book a 2 to 3 week trip to Vietnam and Cambodia in 2026Hobby is 71 and is reluctant to go on a self organised tour. His preference is for a completely organised tour. I'm thinking of doing a visa run thru the Moc Bai border. I understand there is a public bus from HCM to Moc Bai but it takes 3 hours or so. How much would a taxi or other private transportation cost to the border and back? I would like to get back to HCM by late afternoon the same day. Has anyone done this visa run lately?

Has anyone been able to book tours through Viator recently? I keep on getting payment failed although there is nothing wrong with my credit card. I have also tried different ones with the same payment failed result. I even asked my brother to help book and same issue. I contacted Viator and they can't seem to do anything about it.

Hi All--I am headed to Vietnam tomorrow from Phnom Phen and just got my e-visa. I realized that I put Hanoi as my Port of entry, failing to realize my plane had a stopover in HCMC. Anybody know if this will be an issue. I found a handful of posts saying they had no issues with a different entry point, but all from pre-pandemic times. I know lots of immigration...
