Well here is a good one ! My friend flying from the Philippines and he is from Canada was refused at the gate for boarding. This was due to a problem with a simple “0/ zero and a O” on the visa. He was not the only one another Canadian was also refused because of the same problem and he has been trying for many days Another problem he had was that his process was not the same as mine. He never received the email confirmation for his application but got the payment email. Then he finally got into the site and his Visa was approved but the zero and O was correct Vietnam for him is a no go forever !Vietnam must straighten out their procedures to ensure it works for everyone. I will now be travelling alone and all his bookings are lost. Vietnam this is very disappointing and I know some of you are going to say you have been coming here for years without any problems “O no or is it 0 no 🙄

Why do they ask people to send in the passport page with all the information they need and they don’t even bother to check it before approving and issuing the visa?

Dumb rule, all tourists should go to the Philippines or Thailand instead.

Please check all the details to make sure it is correct, 0 and O is often mistaken.

I have been going to Vietnam for years years, and never had any problems with my visa. The reason I’ve never had any problems is. Icheck my application for any mistakes before I submit it. I also check my visa for any mistakes once I receive it. It clearly states, when you receive your visa, to check it for any mistakes, and it can be amended at no charge. How about your mate takes responsibility for his in action. The Vietnamese didn’t make the mistake, your mate did.

Why blame others for your mistake? Evisa submission procedures has 3 times asking you to verity your input information, you failed to do so, it’s your fault.

This exact same thing happened to me. When I put in my visa application, it kept telling me I had “an incorrect passport number”. The last digit on my passport is a 0. I’m thinking maybe they thought it was a O. I did research to verify and no Canadian passport would end with an O. Anyways, I ended up paying for the service so someone could do it for me. Everything was approved within a couple days. Just praying to god I have no issues once at the airport.

I agree the visa issue with Vietnam is very stringent. Really think they could. Make it a tad easier. Hear lots of complaints

Who refused him from boarding? Obviously it was the airlines because when you board from another country, the airlines asks to see your visa before allowing you to board. If they find a problem with your visa, they simply point it out and ask you to correct the problem with the agency that prepared your visa.
