500k will make their day
We had 2 students, bought them lunch, paid for their taxis, and bought a small gift which they loved. Highly recommend the Free Student Tour
Do you really need a walking tour? You can research and google all the attractions of HCMC yourself. Just walk this incredible City. Around every corner you will find something amazing to see🤷🏻♀️😉
– Pack light and avoid carrying valuables.
I think 200 k per person was suggested on ours but check the website where you booked. We saw people tip 200-300 k per person
Nothing is free. Free tour guide but they will cost other things higher than, and advertise another tour ..that’s their benefit
Google bro
Sounds like you are talking about the free student walking tours which gives them a chance to speak English with foreigners. Tip 100% depends on you and the amount of time the tour takes. The average 7-11 employee gets around 35k hr so in my opinion 100k for an hour tour is ok but 200k is better for a college student. If it’s a free 5-10 minute tour and then they charge you which can be a total scam “50k per toyr’ almost always turns into 500k at the end. Just make sure you talk about prices and expectations at the beginning.
I did one in Hanoi… 2 college students show me around Old Quarters.. they told me, it’s their way to practice their English. They didn’t ask for anything, just conversation . I bought them drinks and tip VND200k each.
