Dear best you exchange here in Vietnam. Your exchange rate in NZ and also Australia is terrible. You can change at the Airport and or Gold shop as it’s all regulated these days so exchange rates are very similar. DONG (VND) Vietnamese Dong. Is the local currency. Make sure you bring higher bills and not damaged so you can change easily ( 50s 100s) Enjoy.
Take Dong with you.
We use VND, you can exchange money at gold shops or banks (the exchange rate at gold shops will be higher).
