We are travelling to Hanoi in July – we have 3 nights. I would like to see Sapa, Ninh Binh, halong but can’t do everything and i don’t want to spend my days in queues behind thousands of tourists – any recommendations?

Day trip to Ninh Binh if you only have 3 nights, and spend the rest in Hanoi

You have 3 nights total? Just enjoy Hanoi! You’ll spend all your time in transportation otherwise.

Hello, I’m a local guide in Sapa. I’m from a small village near Sapa, Ta Phin village. I’m a Dao Do woman with many years of experience guiding international tourists. I organize tours to various places around Sapa, as well as hiking tours, one-day and two-day/one-night trips with homestay accommodation. If you’re interested, you can message me or click on my profile for my phone number. Sapa always welcomes you!

You can do sapa and/or ninh binh. Train hanoi to sapa leaves Hanoi at 9 pm arriving Sapa 6 am. They have 9 pm train back to Hanoi at 6 am. So you save time by spending 2 nights sleeping on train.

Sapa is 6 hours from Hà Nội, it is impractical to fit into your time constraints. It is doable to have a day trip from Hà Nội to either Ninh Bình or Hạ Long but it would be very rush to do both destinations.
