Thinking about getting tailored in Hoi An — need your thoughts!I’ve been watching posts about tailoring in Hoi An and it looks like a women’s business suit runs around $150 depending on the material and how quickly you need it. Since I’m an average size, I could actually buy a good quality suit for about the same price at home — but the idea of custom tailoring is tempting. For those who’ve tried tailoring in Hoi An:✨ What was your experience like?📍 Where did you go?💬 Was it worth it quality- and fit-wise?⏱️ How much did you spent?Would love honest feedback before I decide to join the bandwagon😃 thanks

Definitely recommend shop 52. Nice folks. Good quality. Fair prices
I can definitely recommend Blue Gecko brilliant quality and service 👌
I had 3 copies of a linen shirt I took with me made. I asked for them to not have a collar though. I picked the three fabrics there. Two fittings although I was happy after the first fitting they insisted on making one adjustment to the stitching. Fully completed in less than 48 hours. I love the tops. They’re well made and exact what I’d asked for. Original top was AUD$90 and copies cost me about $50 each. We went to Blue Rye Tailor.
A tailored suit is very different to off the rack. It’s not going to be cheap, because its custom made to fit you perfectly. You’re paying for craftsmanship and quality. If these things matter to you, get a tailored suit

I used 45 Thu Tailor to make my favourite tops in colours I couldn’t buy in that brand. I took my tops with me and within 24 hours they were ready. Beautiful made. Worked out a few dollars cheaper than the originals but I was able to get the colours I wanted.
I went to two places. I had two dresses and a matching linen pants and top made at one place and a maxi dress made at the other . The two dresses and pants/top were 5 million dong. The quality is good but not top notch ( you can see the hem stitching on the dress which is floral and they used a black thread. I think the two dresses were about 90 usd total and the pants suit was about 100. The second dress is gorgeous and really well made it was 1.8 million dong. Idk if I overpaid or not. I didn’t know if they negotiated but I was undecided at the first place ( originally I was going to have 3 dresses plus that pant suit ) she waived the fee for the credit card. The second place didn’t have a fee either and she didn’t negotiate. The thing is you have to know what you want and I am a big returner and don’t have a lot of vision. But in the end I am happy. I would recommend both tailors. I went in Wednesday , did fittings Thursday and it was ready Friday. My maxi dress was ready in one day. They ask when you are leaving and plan around it. My casual stuff was made at TaTa Tailor and my maxi dress was from Hay Hay Tailor
Just made a second visit to Hoi An and to Shine Tailors, an excellent place. Had numerous dresses and tops made (many are copies of things I took), and also some silk trousers, camisole and shorts. Went there last January as well. My husband had two suits made (one linen and one wool) for c NZ$450. Great quality and service.
We used Tina’s Design. Great service. We love all the clothes we had made. Shirts, shorts, dresses, pajamas, jackets, slacks. Everything turned out beautiful.
I had high waisted dress pants and matching lined suit vest X2 and an adorable frilled skirt and matching top made, all for under $200 CDN. Bi Bi is the best and so reasonable! 24 hour turn around!
