I recently stayed in Da Nang for 3 months and struggled to find a good, affordable massage therapist (a lot were painful). Finally, after one month, I found Ngoc Bich who is very good. So I wanted to recommend her here for anyone else looking for the same.
She is not just better than other massage therapist I tried in Da Nang. She’s the best massage therapist I ever had, and I’ve lived in the Philippines for 3 years so I’ve tried plenty.
The way I found Ngoc was via one of the Da Nang expat Facebook groups. There wasn’t much feedback about her though, so I just ended up giving her a try. She does in-room massage which I prefer after being tired from playing pickleball.
No funny business by the way, if you’re looking for that look elsewhere. She told me she usually doesn’t work with men for that reason.

Thank you for sharing your experience after all that’s what this forum is about. Those who don’t like your recommendation don’t have to follow it. I am traveling to Dan ang in couple of days and would definitely follow your recommendation and report back .

OK, not sure how accurate some of these styles are in different countries.
Not keen on Thai. Swedish or oil is my choice. Can be hard, medium or soft. Worst massages l’ve has have been the more expensive ones.
Not finding the cheap massages as you see all over Thailand. 300 baht for oil, is around 250,000 Dong.
“Thai massage is non oil, they sketch you and throw you around” – yeah that was quite the experience. The one I went to was actually really good, and I left feeling great.
I think oil is based on Swedish, that is what l have in Thailand. Thai massage is non oil, they sketch you and throw you around, l know of people who have been injured. It is cheaper than oil in Thailand but in Vietnam it is often more expensive.

Just a regular massage in Da Nang – don’t know what type that is. But massages in Da Nang are different than in Boracay in the Philippines, which are generally Swedish. In Da Nang they like to stand on your back for example – they have their own flavor of massage which is easy to botch it seems by unskilled therapists.
The issue to me is not that the massage is too hard, but that the hard pressure is frequently mistakenly applied on spots like bone or sensitive areas etc. which causes the discomfort.
I had a Thai massage only once, but loved it. Not in Thailand ironically, but in Bali.
