Should we tip a Grab scooter driver? I thought 1000 dong but then I looked and that’s $.04, which is obviously ridiculous. The whole ride is $1. Is it necessary to tip a grab driver at all? I don’t have a lot of small bills. Still getting used to things here.

If they have to sit through heaps of traffic, I’ll tip them 40-50k. Normal rides 30k. Long trips 100k. If they speed like demons or spend half the time driving on their phone I don’t tip at all.
5000 VND to 10000 VND is reasonable to me. If they are extra friendly or helpful, I put 20000VND or 30000Vnd to appriciate.
