The selection process is tricky! My husband and I are looking for lovely accommodation in the An Bang beach vicinity for a birthday escape (the kids are grown, so it’s time to unwind!). I’ve currently narrowed my choices to AIRA Boutique Hoi An Hotel & Villa, CHiEM HoiAn – The Beachside Boutique Hotel & Villa, and a few options I found on AirBNB.
I’m hoping to meet the following criteria:

Be situated near the quieter section of An Bang (which end is better—north or south?)

Offer an ocean view, or be just a very brief walk to the water

Feature a spacious room, ideally including a separate living space

Provide a pleasant outdoor area for relaxing

Include a swimming pool

Be located conveniently close to local eateries
All recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Aira is in a superb location; we actually passed by it numerous times.
The An Bang neighborhood has a very laid-back atmosphere.
We always prefer to stay at Vu Nhi Homestay, which is a private property belonging to one of the owners of Dolphin Kitchen and Bar. This spot is just a short walk away on the beach, and they serve a wonderful à la carte breakfast there.
We’ve returned to this place three years in a row.
Aira is situated right in the busiest section of An Bang, and because of its spot, it wouldn’t be my top suggestion, even though it offers more of a hotel setup than other options in the village. Have you considered Coco Villa? It’s located in a much quieter area and is on my list for an upcoming visit. There is also An Bang Beach Hideaway—though I haven’t received a reply from them yet. Remember that most accommodation choices in An Bang do not provide direct ocean views.
