Revising Starting Point to North-Central Vietnam

Hi everyone,

We are currently thinking about flipping our trip’s itinerary to begin in the central region (Hue/Hoi An) around August 17th and then gradually make our way north until September 6th. This decision is largely influenced by the average rainfall data we observed on WeatherSpark.

I understand that the weather is often highly unpredictable, but given that we plan to do the Ha Giang to Cao Bang loop as easyriders, even a slight change in the probability of rain would be beneficial!

Your thoughts on this strategy would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Cheers,

Marco

    Hello,

So when exactly will you go to Ha Giang City to start the tour?

I would expect some rain and plan accordingly.

Watch the weather forecasts, tropical depression, tropical storms and typhoons are easier to predict and track than the usual rain that the southwest monsoon brings.

    Take care 🙂

@Michael P Hello Micheal, thank you for your response!

So the two options we were considering would be:

1- either spend a few days in Hanoi and start the loop around the 20th.

2- go to the center (Hue/Hoi An) first and then get to Hanoi around the 28th (where one could start the loop whenever they prefer or when the weather looks good).

Maybe it doesn’t make that much difference in the end.

@Culture57354763297 Maybe it’s worth mentioning that our flight back to Italy will leave from Hanoi on the 6th of September 🙂
