PSA: download offline maps before Ha Giang, there is barely any signal up the mountains

We did the Ha Giang loop last week and I want to save someone the stress we had. About an hour past Yen Minh our data just died, both Viettel and Vinaphone, nothing. We missed a turn toward Dong Van and rode an extra 40 minutes the wrong way before we found a homestay with wifi to re orient.

Download the offline map of the whole province while you still have hotel wifi in Ha Giang city. It takes two minutes and it genuinely saved the rest of our trip.
