Mekong Delta 1 day tour from HCMC, which one?

We have 3 full days in Ho Chi Minh City and want to spend one of them in the Mekong Delta. The problem is every tour listing looks identical: boat ride, coconut candy factory, honey tea, lunch, back by 5pm.

Is there actually a difference between the Ben Tre tours and the My Tho ones, or is it the same conveyor belt with a different starting point? Can Tho sounds nicer but looks too far for a day trip.

Has anyone done one they would genuinely recommend, ideally a smaller group? We are not into the hard sell souvenir stops.
