    Get Dong local money they don’t want or used foreign money tips is not used you have ATM everywhere including at airports and exchange counter

    Large usd billd in red envelopes. My VN girlfriend plans to bring cash to the US to give to my family members when she meets them. I explained it wasn’t necessary but she says it’s tradition.

    $2 dollar bills they like cause its lucky and vietnamese like it. $5 bills but brand new is a super nice tip.

    Money and in local currency not usd as with those small amounts not only do they have to go out of their way to exchange it at a currency exchange place but they get a terrible rate
