    Here now.. yes, I have walked all day, all night. 100% safe… I’d suggest like any other place. Keep your belongings close, and just watch your step, as the ground often has raised and sunken street tiles.

    Use your brain/commonsense, don’t get too hammered, don’t wander about with headphones on and your phone in your hand and stick to busier areas. D1 never sleeps so 10pm or 2am, same same. Far safer than literally anywhere in Australia at 10pm. Public safety is taken very seriously and you will be on CCTV 99% of the time when in public. Vietnam enjoys extremely low crime rates. Other foreigners are by far the greatest danger in Vietnam, it’s them you need to watch out for.

    My friend had her handbag ripped off her shoulder by a man on motorbike. She held onto it and got dragged. Just don’t walk late at night with your bag on your shoulder on the road side! But that’s travelling 101
