I’m from the U.S., and I’m curious — what do people usually bring back after visiting Vietnam?

Souvenirs
I bought a few lanterns in Hanoi, but it looks like Amazon has similar ones! Not as cheap as in Hoi An but more convenient…
I always bring back coffee, bottles of coconut oil, the green medicine oil, rice paper, and snacks that we can’t get here. Clothes too and sometimes tailored outfits I drew out.
Coffee and something bespoke from Hoi An. I got them to make me motorcycle boots from a photograph. We also got them to make us commemorative t-shirts of our journey, with “The Midlife Crisis Tour 🇻🇳” embroidered on them.
Humility
I bought 2 lanterns, some key chains, 2 shot glasses engraved with leap year date (actual date we went to Son Tra night market and purchased them) during my 2020 trip, ao dai and jackets during my 2023 trip, and Vietnam coasters and had 2 custom-made dresses during my 2026 trip. Some of my souvenirs were for colleagues.
the clap
Depending on what you need, as Vietnamese we craving for things that expensive or hard to find in the US like durian, tropical olive, rice paper, tamarind, dehydrated fish or clothing
I was planning 2 fridge magnets & a floppy sunhat.
Good memories
