I plan to road bike around Phu Quoc Island and according to Google Street View, this section of the road (dark blue) is not paved, but that dates back to 2017 and the pictures show road construction… Anyone can confirm if this is now paved?

    Brings back memories, I think it was 2016 I was there they were doing works along that area. Rode through that area with my now wife, I’d say they have finished those works years ago. All resorts along there now.

    They are doing alot of construction there I was traveling around there not long ago they are building new airport hotels and a place for cruise ships to dock so construction rough roads in many areas but you should be ok with a motorbike to travel

    It’s all asphalt roads now, but be super careful with the dogs while riding. They often jump out suddenly, and plenty of people have wiped out because they couldn’t brake in time

    Same road 2016 and it was impossible at points. Turned back and saw a local disappear into the foliage 100mtr away, he even waved at me. Went to the same spot and the locals had made a path in the jungle for 1/2 a mile then back on the road. Took me 3 hours to cover. Water had washed massive trenches in the road and you couldn’t carry on. Made it in the end

    All paved, just drove on scooter that exact route 3 days ago.

    Yes you can cycle this route. Some parts of the road aren’t great but for the most part good.
