   I recently travelled with AVG to China. Advertised as all inclusive including $12.50 per day as tips and gratuities paid in cash at beginning of tour.

   Not compulsory and depends on the trip’s length, for short trips like going from your homestay to a restaurant within 5km it’s ok to not to tip

    My small group tour we agreed $500 VND for tour guide and $200 for driver – around $40 aud and they were thrilled and that was each couple from our tour 6 couples in total
