   I’m allergic to smoke and in Hanoi now. Brought masks in case I have a problem but have been surprised that it doesn’t seem that bad (small areas we walk by where men are sitting smoking but not hard to get through).

   More and more restaurants are non smoking inside but most men smoke in Vietnam. If you can’t tolerate cigarette smoke, then Vietnam (and Asia in general) is probably not for you.
