Hi, We are arriving at Ho Chi Minh tomorrow from Adelaide Australia and have a few questions. We are staying in the centre of District 1- What is best way for spending- wise card or cash ?- What is the best way for travelling? Taxis or public transport? If taxis, any apps? – Which are best places for teenage kids shopping, I.e. shirts, shoes, bags etc. Thanks

Grab app for transport and wise card linked is best. No need to handle cash and trying to find the right change after a trip. Tips can also be added via the app after a trip

Honestly we walked everywhere we wanted to go for us it was all pretty central. We used a travel card mostly and had cash that we changed over in good shops which worked well.

We used Grab for transport, we found the drivers spoke very little English and with grab they know where to take us and the price is set. We also used wise and cash.

Bring cash!! The exchange rate here is so much better than in Aus, we’ve been here 3 days and wish we’d brought AUD after seeing the rate at the airport compared to what we paid in Perth

Grab is supposed to be the best transport. Download the app and link your wise card to it

Download the Grab app link your card to it. It’s just like Uber. We used both card and cash
