Hi there. We are Australian heading to Vietnam for the first time for 10 days on the 11th of March. We have a couple of questions:- Money exchange: Where is the best place to take out money?- Tours: Where do we book these and should any be booked before we go?Any advice/help from fellow Aussie travellers is welcome.

Take CASH. Exchange at Gold shops. Make sure you have nice NEW notes.
I booked my tours through Get My Guide for Hanoi and Saigon Adventures for HCM City.
Have you got your visas sorted?
Change $50 at airport to get to your hotel. Money exchange at gold shops. Book your tours in Vietnam
Get a wise card, on the app you can put aud on it and then convert any amount to dong. So essentially you have 2 currency on there.
There is an app to Get my guide if you want to book online. But they only pickup in a 5klm radius of the city. The cities have travel agencies to book tours. Cash is king. See above comments for where.
Our going to really struggle without cash. I’m in HCMC now and cash is King
TP bank and MB bank are the best ATMs. I don’t take any cash with me, just not worth it. Couple of fee free debit cards and you are good to go.
