Hi, I’m new to the group and I’m sure this question has probably already been asked, ( I did do a bit of scrolling, but didn’t find it) What is the easiest way to use our phones in Vietnam? Is Wi-Fi readily available? Are SIM cards an option? I can only get a two week travel pass from my mobile provider and I’m going for three. Thanks!

Buy a Viettel eSIM from gigago and activate it upon arrival

I have international service with Verizon. I pay $10.00-ish a month extra and it’s done. Never have to get a sim card.

I normally use physical SIM. Viettel offers very good coverage. Make sure you choose the best plan according to your needs and have your phone properly set up by the sales person. And don’t go ape looking for the cheapest possible offer in order to save just enough for peanuts…

There is WiFi in bars, hotels etc. But not everywhere if you want to use your phone on the go e.g maps get an esim.

Plenty of WiFi, and get an eSIM to plug the gaps. I’ve used Saily with no problems. About 15GBP for 1 month/10gb.
