Well. Let’s just put it this way. Those things can’t cost more than what it costs in America. In places like Cho Ben Thanh. Some guy wanted $75 for rubber slippers. Not happening. My cousin bought me a pair for $2.40. Keep in mind, rubber, t shirt fabric, and glass are cheap materials. And labor in vietnam is cheap too. So I’m not gonna pay $40 for reading glasses when I can get them at Walmart for $8.50. Reading glasses in vietnam are $2. You stay away from tourist areas, and they don’t rip you off. Say Ha Noi, or areas up north have no tourists. So they just charge what they charge everybody else. Saigon, you can pay a lot for food. But not in Ha Noi. Pho up north was $1.06. In Saigon, the average price was more than $4.
