Hi everyone,I wanted to ask if anyone has experienced something similar with Booking in Vietnam.I have a confirmed reservation that I booked a long time ago at a very good price, and now the hotel has messaged me asking me to cancel the reservation myself, saying they will be closed due to lack of cleaning staff because of the Tet holidays. The thing is, I’ve checked and the hotel is still available and still selling rooms for the same dates, but now at much higher prices. It honestly feels like they’re trying to get rid of my old, cheaper booking so they can resell it at a higher rate.Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do???Any advice or shared experiences would be really appreciated. Thanks 🙏

They are cheating you. Basically they don’t want to honor your booking because they know they can get more. But they also don’t want to be the one to cancel. Making you cancel makes YOU the bad guy and you won’t get your money back either.
Tet is a bad time to travel to Vietnam
Wow. Makes it hard. Have to have an address for Visa.. but scared to book in advance now. We arrive 11th March 😪
Who did you book through? I suggest contacting them unless you book directly than hotel has the right to not honor the booking
