Hi everyone! I am planning a trip for my family to Vietnam (5 adults and 2 kids – 12y/o and 7 y/o). This is the itinerary that we have come up with so far. Let me know if this seems feasible and if you guys would change/add anything! I was also wondering where/when should we book flights between cities? Should we wait till we get there and book tours with flights included? or now through Booking.com? And if you guys have any central hotel recs for Da Nang or HCMC! Any comments or advice would be very greatly appreciated 😊😊

We did 3 night Hoi An, absolutely loved it there. We personally advise to skip Ha Long Bay. Especially with kids.

I would do more days in Danang and just 2 nights max in Hoi An, it’s very close and cheap to go with Grab, you can do boat, lanterns and An Bang beach

I would cut Saigon a bit and spend more time on the beach I phu Quoc or take there a cable car that goes together with entrance to waterpark (full day trip). Or add Ninh Binh and sampan in Trang an from Hanoi. Personally I would stay 4 days in Hoi An and add Marble Mountain or Hue instead. But each of us is different 🙂
