Hi all. We will be staying in Hanoi for a few days and want to know if it’s possible to do a tour of Ninh Binh in half a day (we don’t mind starting early) or if we need to allocate a full day for it.

   We spent a week there and still felt we wanted longer. I would feel so rushed in half day but that’s my personal thoughts.

   Id say a full day as its a 2 hour drive from Hanoi. We did it recently- left at 6am, did the river rowboat trip and climbed the 500 steps at Mua caves to the dragon at the top. Did a tandem cycle round a nearby lake and got back to Hanoi around 6pm
