Hey everyone,Just wondering if customs will question you if you’re travelling with multiple currency since I’ll be visiting another country before going to Da Nang. Are there places to exchange for Vietnamese currency in the airport? I’m only staying for a week so just wondering if there are any suggestions on a good baseline for how much cash is ideal for a week stay. Thanks

We are travelling with 4 currencies and no issues.
How much you got, normal travel amounts are fine, dodgy amounts are not.
Double check the currency that you have can be changed outside that country. Cambodia, Laos and Nepal are all difficult to exchange.
They are asking the total value of cash money in USD, just like any other airport in the world. You can only carry certain amount of cash when entering to the country and also when leaving the country. In Vietnam the limit is 5000 USD and after that you have to declare the money. And case you don’t declare it you may be fined up to 2000 USD for it.
We flew round the world last year with 5 different countries currency in cash and never got asked. I think if they had asked and checked our onwards flights we had money from each of the countries we were going to.
I’ve never been checked for currency . We got a great rate 18.2 at Hanoi airport this week
Shirts/Shorts – not bad quality knockoffs – Nike/Luluemon etc 250000/300000 ea (Better probably if you’re a good bargainer. Lunches around the streets – a few beers or coffees & a few dishes – 350000 – 600000 depending on where you go – higher for the upper end places. Grab (Taxi) very cheap – hook it up to a Wise Card or Credit Card – no need for cash for these. Depends on what you wish to do – day trips & private drivers – plenty of options.
No problem with multi currencies unless you’re carrying more than the limit!! In Hanoi, old quarter, u can change at Gold Smith, Travel agents etc.
