Hi yes we got back yesterday from Ho Chi Minh via Dubai. Our flight was delayed by 24 hours which we were advised about a week before. We had 2 hours there and everything felt normal- i think there might have been an extra security check.
Sitting at Dubai now waiting for onward to Hanoi. Just been made to move away from the windows for a missile strike. Was about 5 minutes then everyone moved on. Nobody was concerned
I usually do the mamchester, Doha , HCMC route a few times a year. Last few days had to go Emirates via Dubai, everything on time, even after 5 warnings at Dubai; in fact all scheduled flights landed early. A longish layover at Dubai but the Business Lounge at gate A is amazing, and has wonderful sleeper couches in the quiet area, and the food is varied and tasty. Note – thr flights are not full, if you can afford the extra luxury, some good deals on Business Class.
Shane I am intrigued with what answers you get, as I am flying soon from Uk and connection is Dubai
Yes fine as long as it’s with the same airline
Yes its doable and if its connecting they will wait for you. We had 1hr 45 landing from bangkok in dubai onto manchester. However this was end of january. They had staff there waiting for you guiding you every step of the way.
Yes – early Monday morning. Landed at about 1.45 – plan was meant to depart at 3.30. All borded on time but delays due to airspace closure and missile interceptions. Took off 2hrs late but all good. Providing no delays on your incoming then you may be fine as you just go straight to connection terminal.
