Hanoi so far.First time overseas traveller. Been in Vietnam for 2.5 days. These our my tips so far. People will have their opinions and will disagree but remember these are my tips. First I will start with… I love Hanoi. The roads are crazy but a organised crazy. 🤪 the bikes and cars have so much respect for each other. Don’t be scared to walk and cross the roads. The people are absolutely beautiful, kind and friendly. Food 🍱 ✅hidden gem cafe #6 on menu. Amazing!❌ don’t know the name – overlooking lake, went to a restaurant on level 7 above the silk painting store and the 6 floors of shopping… was not a fan and didn’t eat much of the food. Activities 🚲 Cyclo ride – we did it at night and was great. We tipped our rider 100,000 for half a lap around the lake. 🚌 Hop on hop off bus – we did the last tour of the night. A one hour round trip and you stay on. 150,000 each. 🚗 Sunset Jeep tour – our guide Hai was awesome. Tour was a great way to kick of our 14 day trip. 🛶 day trip to Ninh Binh – while the weather wasn’t great, still enjoyed the boat ride down the river and thru the caves. Unfortunately due to sickness our trip was cut short so we coiled down the 500 step up. It’s a must. Such a beautiful and peaceful experience.
