Hi, i’m only driving in Phu Quoc which is safer, i would not dare to drive in the other cities. It looks like that is a long process being Australian to drive in Vietnam, so probably will be best to use Grab I reckon….
Hello mate been here for over a decade from Australia. Australian’s can not ride a motorbike here with an Aussie license. I had to get my vietnamese licence here with a TRC not a tourist visa. So in short you cannot legally ride a bike here unless it’s under 50cc. Best use grab, or for a Easyrider if you want to spend time on a bike.

You can’t ride legally on an Australian licence. People will tell you it’s fine, though, but if you get into an accident there will be no insurance and you might face jail time.
