This is a good question. We have had our teeth cleaned, X-rays, and even a mouth guard made. Initially, we checked out the locations recommended in the western Facebook groups, which all had stellar reviews, but once we had feet on the streets, it was a different story. Many, some are even listed here in the comments, had considerably higher prices, and the feedback wasn’t as good as what we had heard or read. After a couple of weeks and making some Vietnamese friends, we found that the local Vietnamese-trained dentists offered the same service and even higher quality than we had heard from those who had gone elsewhere. Our personal experience was that we paid $11 USD for cleaning, $25 for a cleaning and X-ray, and another $30 for a mouth guard. This was a third of what we were being quoted by the recommendations we received for the western-focused locations. This was in Hanoi for specific reference. All of the best! 🙏

As a Vietnamese living in the US the answer is yes. The money you spend in the US for a serious dental visit even with insurance would get you return flights, decent hotel stay, and the actual dental visit, you would still have some to spend on food and sightseeing.

Don’t book via fb or some advertisements. Unless you have recommendation of a specific dentist, Get there, check it out, then book. My sister-in-law think cheap is good, she booked a place she saw on FB to get her teeth pull in Ha Noi, when she got there, the dentist isn’t there, a young boy, about hs age, told her the dr is busy, he will pull her teeth 😨, she asked where is his license to practice, he said he forgot it at home 😆! She couldn’t take off fast enough! Just remember, when they put you out, you won’t know who works on you! 😱

I have been working in the dental field since 2002. 9/10 It looks good on the surface but under the gums it’s awful.

Yes. Dana Dental Danang. Great place, english spoken and their website clearly shows the cost for each service.

I had 6 teeth crowded bridge done 15 years ago in Vietnam. It finaly broke. Decided to go with implant this time. It’s a 6 month process. Don’t listen to the advertisement about getting implant done in 2 weeks. It needs time for the titanium post to fuse with jawbone.
