We are heading to Da Lat for four days in mid November, after a week in Saigon, and I am trying to pack sensibly. Everyone says Da Lat is cooler, but cooler compared to Saigon could still mean a light sweater, or it could mean I actually need a proper jacket in the evening.
For those who have been in November, how cold does it really get at night? Is a hoodie enough for walking around the night market and sitting outside for dinner, or will I wish I had brought something warmer and windproof?
We are traveling with just carry on bags, so every layer counts. If a jacket is worth the space, what kind works best: a packable puffer, a rain jacket, or just a fleece over a t-shirt? And does it stay cool during the day too, or does the sun warm things up by lunchtime?
