Hi,
I land in HCMC early morning and then I have connecting flight to phu quoc. I am booked on vietjet. The layover time is 3 hours and 5 mins. Is it sufficient to clear immigration and other formalities?

Neelam – I’ll surely post after my experience on Jan 30.
I have the same issue. Please let me know about your experience. My flight is on 27 February. I have heard immigration takes 2 hours in ho chi minh and then we have collect luggage and again check in at domestic terminal. So am bit scared
You’ll be covered, but 45 mins is good going. It took me slightly over and hour and I was towards the front of the plane.
Keep an eye out as you come up the deboarding ramp. There are sometimes staff there to help you. Either by name or destination.
I don’t know the procedure for Vietjet, but you may need to collect luggage and either check it in or pass it to Vietjet staff. Perhaps someone can clarify this.

So then, should not be worried on any connecting flight(s).

I had booked on vietjet website and the booking number is same. So yes it’s on the same PNR. Thats what I understand.
Is it a single ticket?
Or did you book 2 separate flights?
If single ticket, Vietjet should put you on the next available flight, at no cost to you.
Is your booking on a single PNR? If not then your concerns are legit.
Yes, I land in terminal 2 and my connecting flight to phu quoc is from terminal 1. If by any reason like long queues at immigration or delay of first flight, if my connecting flight is missed does the airline (vietjet) in this case book me on next available flight free of cost or do I have to pay?
You mean clear customs/immigration and get to the other terminal right? i think 3 hours will be enough. Just barely though, i usually make it through customs in 45 minutes or less. getting on the next flight can be time consuming though,, however, if you tell the counter person clerk, agent whatever, ” i’m going to miss my flight“, they will probably walk you though the diplomat visa express lane thing, i.e. you want have to wait in line for the security check. i have had that done for me twice at SGN and once at BKK.
