I’m pedalling towards the port for ferry to Con Dao. Current schedule would have me going over on Friday or Saturday.

I remember hearing that it is one of those busy at weekend places with people from HCMC.

Is it better to delay a couple of days for a less crowded experience?

    Hi

Where are you going to catch the boat?

    Trần Đề ferry port?

So you’ll be taking a bunch of local ferry rides to there?

    That sounds like fun.

    Edited: 2:14 am, today

    All 3.

I think of Ben Tre as 2. The old riverside part with market and lots of little shops. Staying near there and regularly visiting for food, drink, new sandals, etc

Then there’s what I see as the new town, with mall, supermarket, etc. Pedalled around this yesterday even went to the CoOp.

Thirdly the countryside and rivers. Obviously pedalling through this from place to place. Also did day ride out. Small ferry to island, rode through 2 of them, then another ferry back. Love it.

    Ben Tre city?

Thanks very much, I’ll just pedal on. Currently enjoying Ben Tre.

I like the sound of solemn days and party nights.

Busy with people , often big groups, from all over Vietnam who come mainly to visit the historic sites which are extremely important monuments in vietnamese history all week long.

Party with lot’s of seafood, beer and karaoke in the evenings.

Probably more busy during the weekends but Con Dao never feels crowded

I see no reason why to avoid on weekends.
