I use the digital card every day and use the physical card to withdraw cash at atms. I have never had an issue in 4 years.
Best to use the QR scanner hidden in your wise tag/profile
Wise works in atms and anywhere visa is accepted. Cash is king for street food and food markets. The fee is minimal. I have been abroad in Asia for over a year and use wise for everything. Best card ever.
We use both digital and actual card but cash is the most used here. I bought over fresh $100 and $50 notes from NZ and that was great as well. They sometimes charge you 3% as a surcharge even with wise card.
I had some big problems with my Wise card. Because Vietnam is mostly a cash country, you rely on ATM’s to get cash. I wasted so much time trying to find an ATM which wouldn’t reject the card. I had Vietnamese Dong in the account. HSBC worked without any problem… except over Tet when the machines ran out of cash! I have used Wise in several different countries, and this was the first time I had trouble. I will definitely take another back-up card next time I go there!
Just 3-6% charge each time
