Recovering from food poisoning right now. Rats, cockroaches – a usual sight. I am not a picky eater, no special demands, so I did not care. Until a few days back. I’ll stay away from any shabby looking restaurants till my last day in Vietnam.

Last year, a rat ran right over my foot while we were eating. For a moment, I was shocked; my chopsticks froze in front of my mouth. Then I realized: I don’t care! The food is still delicious, and I want to keep eating.
Think of them as local natural fauna.
